We at the Citizens’ Alliance believe that one of the major factors that has affected the effective and smooth operations of Government is that communities have become more and more disconnected from the Executive of the years

The people of Trinidad and Tobago feel that they no longer have a stake in the Government and that their opinions and needs are unimportant. In the new politics of a CA Government, the nation will see a return to old values of ensuring that the Government remains rooted in communities and everyone is optimistic and motivated.

The new politics of CA will also ensure an unprecedented level of transparency and accountability, with more equitable policies, better constituency representation and character. Our First Principles will remain our guiding imperatives and as a Government and the Citizens Alliance will seek to ensure that every citizen of Trinidad and Tobago is given hope again that they matter in the scheme of things.

As a Government, by the end of our first term, the population will see how with a return to simple human values, coupled with high levels of expertise and consultation, communities can become involved in what happens at the top and developed enough to sustain themselves. With a CA Government, Trinidad and Tobago will truly become the leader of the Caribbean with an empowered and motivated population, ready to face the challenges of full development.
